How to Record Expenses with Voyage Manager
Recording expenses with Voyage Manager is a simple process:
- Create an expense entry
- Snap a picture of the receipt. AI extracts the key information, and populates the key expense details automatically
- Or do it manually
- Enter key details, such as type of expense, amount, currency, date/time, location, vendor, and an optional comment
- Snap a picture of your receipt, invoice or other relevant document
- Upload the expense entry via the app or web portal
All new expenses sync with the server when internet connectivity is available, or get saved for later syncing.
Voyage Manager can also automatically create expense records from Monzo card data. You simply add matching receipt or invoice photos later.
The app displays 30 days of expenses, while older records remain on the server. You can review each expense, view its location on a map, and generate reports or download a CSV file of all expenses.
Your Expenses Reflect Your Journey
The locations in which you incur expenses help to confirm your travel history. For example, a croissant purchase at Heathrow Airport indicates you were there. We incorporate all these data points into Voyage Manager to enhance our wider service.
Our travel tracker uses expense location data along with travel bookings, safety check-ins, GPS tracking and other location data to create a fuller picture of your travel.
